Mustang camshaft question?
I had a e-303 on it and want to run a different one does anyone know of a good camshaft. I was thinking of Anderson ford motorsport.I don’t mind the lumpy iddle or off road.here what i have,,,,,I have a manual 90 5.0 mustang convertible with stock ported heads,stock bottom end ,Holley systemax intake,24lbs injectors and also have 30s and 42s,BBK fuel pressure regulator,fonelic spacer,K&N filter,75mm throttle body,76mm C&L,,3.90 gears(which I put on before I put my supercharger),E-303 cam,Mac long tube headers, X-pipe, a Paxton Novi 2000 supercharger with the stock pulley.Which is I believe giving me 8-10psi of boost and other little things but could you please let me know whats your combo and what cam you are running. If you want a more aggressive cam then the e-303, check out the f-303. I would highly recommend only going higher on the lift if your using aftermarket roller rockers and taller valve covers. The longer duration and higher lift will keep it real lumpy as well as help your top end horsepower. the f-303 cam is the one ford recommends for boosted applications like yours. Of coarse, it is imperative that you run upgraded valve springs and pushrods. Roller rockers and taller valve covers are a must too. DO NOT forget to check your valve to piston clearance!
