Robby to sell?

hearing that Alex Gillett [George Gillett's son] has purchased Robby Gordon Motorsports [#7 Dodge] and will run it as a separate entity from Gillette-Evernham Motorsports. Plans are to eventually expand it to a multi-car team. Assuming Robby Gordon will stay on as driver…if this is true. Currently Gordon owns the team, but has a technological and marketing partnership with Gillett Evernham Motorsports and is 24th in driver/owners points. What do you think about this?

It sounds to me like it could end up being a Roush/Fenway and Yates type relationship. If Gillett/Evernham is going to compete with the big boys they will have to expand. With the son buying Robby’s team it just gives them more options for adding teams and more resources to draw upon. It could be a win/win situation for all parties involved and I will be curious to see how this all plays out. Thanks for the update.
